The present invention provides a decal or sticker configured to be applied to a surface, wherein the decal or sticker is cut form a sheet of biopolymer thin film. The biopolymer thin film can comprise a polysaccharide in the form of agar and a polymer of amino acids in the form of gelatine. The biopolymer thin film can further comprise a glycerine plasticiser.
