A container for products, particularly entertainment or food items, comprising first and second half shells (24,4), each having a mouth contour (6, 8) and a containment wall capable of engaging mouth to mouth to form a container in a closed configuration, characterized in that the container is formed from a material comprising cellulose fibers and any additive and comprises a tear band opening member (12) of the container extending along the entire perimeter contour of the container lying in a plane substantially orthogonal to the plane of the mouth contour of said half shells.
